CHAIRMAN & CEO
Captain Edom Tamunotonye Tawo, a distinguished airline captain with over a decade of unparalleled expertise in the aviation industry, is the visionary founder of Etam Avitat Services Limited, established in 2019.
Captain Tawo, of Nigerian and Canadian origin, holds an esteemed Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) accredited by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Transport Canada, and the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). He specializes in Aviation Management and Trip Support Services and has extensive experience in both commercial and business aviation. Beyond his extensive flight experience, Captain Tawo holds a certificate in Leadership Ethics and Corporate Accountability from Harvard Business School; Aviation Management post graduate diploma from Red River College Polytech, Winnipeg, Canada, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Protection and Resource Management from the University of Calabar, Nigeria. With a distinguished track record in global flight training, Captain Tawo’s insights reverberate across continents. His multifaceted roles in esteemed airlines such as First Nation Airways, Anap Business Jets, and his tenure as a line training captain with United Nigeria Airlines highlight his comprehensive grasp of industry nuances.

MR WOFAI IWARA
DIRECTOR
Corporate Affairs
Wofai O. Iwara, Esq., is an accomplished corporate law attorney with extensive experience in the field. He earned a Law Degree from the University of Buckingham UK, a Masters Degree in Management from the University of Chester UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Literary Studies from the University of Calabar, Nigeria.
He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Nigerian Institute of Management, the Nigeria Bar Association, and the International Institute of Management. Mr. Iwara specializes in aviation, finance, corporate strategy, and restructuring. He also has a keen interest in data protection and privacy, corporate social responsibility, and government relations.
MRS DAWUTA SMITH
Tech ops manager
Dawuta is a Licensed Aircraft Engineer with experience spanning private jet fleet operations, continuing airworthiness oversight, and aviation repair portfolio oversight.
Her career began in hands-on aircraft engineering and fleet technical management across business jet platforms, where she developed a strong foundation in configuration control, maintenance planning, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. This grounding in airworthiness discipline shapes how she approaches operational risk.
She later transitioned into repair portfolio and commercial oversight roles, leading data-informed initiatives focused on cost optimisation, supplier performance oversight, and structured claim management across OEM and independent MRO environments. She has have worked closely with Repair Management and Sourcing leadership to influence contract structuring, validate high-value claims, and reduce recurring cost leakage.
In previous roles she has established the Repair Insight function from inception, and specialised in growing teams of analysts, embedding workflow and reporting structures as well as delivered on multi-million pound savings for airline customers, alongside significant future cost avoidance through recommended changes to maintenance procedures.
She works across Power BI, Sigma, Databricks, Python, and SQL, and hold a First-Class B.Eng in Aeronautical Engineering, an EASA CAMO diploma, Embraer business jet and Boeing 767, 787 type ratings.
